Monsta Case

Although this is really cute I think it might just be a little too cartoon-y for me to carry around at my age... lol.

Monsta Case: "

Case-mate likes to have some fun with their iPhone cases, like this zany 'Monsta' one.

But as with all their cases, the boogeyman Monsta adds protection with a silicone base that covers and shields your iPhone. The elevated molded dots also work to add a textured grip, handy for those of us who are klutzes.

•Form fit feature covers corners

•Available in multiple color combinations

•Impact resistant, flexible silicone shell

•Access to all ports and functions

$24.99 at Case-mate.

Christian Schallert’s shape-shifting apartment

Perfect for small New York City spaces! I think I might have to just settle for a small space and do what this guy did, also the guy in Hong Kong, or that other dude. Lol, I'm sure it costs money to renovate the space to be like this but totally worth it if you live in high rent districts where one square foot could be $1000! Okay, I'm exaggerating but still. Makes so much sense!

Christian Schallert’s shape-shifting apartment: "

We have reported on many small apartment dwellers who have turned their cramped spaces into something innovative. There was that Hong Kong man who created the Domestic Transformer, and the Japanese man who built his house in a space designed for parking.

This is Christian Schallert, who lives in what many blogs are calling a “Lego apartment”. At least, that is how one of his friends in the video (which you can see after the jump) describes it. I’m not certain whether the Lego is a good description, but it certainly is creative.

Schallert took a place that was a complete dive and turned it into a compact yet cozy living space. Apparently, he was inspired by the designs of Japanese homes plus hidden storage units.

You will note how this bed conveniently slides underneath the balcony. The dining room table folds up into the wall, and everything else seems to fit conveniently behind cabinet-like doors. There is even a small room for the toilet, and a “glass cube” for the shower.

Well, if I was living the single life, I would sure like to live here. Right now, I am trying to live in a small place with three kids, and trying to compact as much as possible. I’m not dong as good a job as this guy.

Mimoco Celebrates “May The 4th Be With You” With A Mimobot Star Wars Flash Drives

Mimoco Celebrates “May The 4th Be With You” With A Mimobot Star Wars Flash Drives: "

Happy May The 4th Be With You, fellow nerds! Mimoco is outing a new Star Wars-themed flash drive on this special day. (it also happens to be my birthday) The new Tie Fighter Pilot might be one of the best yet in this sweet line of flash drives. His helmet pulls off, reveling both the USB connector but the man behind the mask. As usual, the drives come preloaded with various desktop wallpapers, icons, and screensavers. Join the Empire and kill the rebal scum for only $22.99. Fun enlistment video after the jump.

Happy Birthday Papa Yao!

Yesterday was Papa Yao's birthday.  I bought this cool looking cake from one of the Chinese bakeries by the train station.  The cranes and the bonsai tree was really cool looking.  Unfortunately it was spoiled!  It had a custard and fruit filling in it.  It was such a shame that it was bad.

The original spoiled cake.

The new unspoiled cake.

The Tiniest Sink Ever!
